As our Online Merchandise Planning Manager, you’ll lead the planning, forecasting and trading of our online clothing range - shaping a digital assortment that delivers for our customers. You’ll use data‑driven insight to optimise availability, improve stock accuracy and maximise conversion, sales and margin. With a strong focus on elevating the online customer experience, you’ll also lead and develop your team to deliver best‑in‑class results.

You will be responsible for:

  • Online Strategy & Digital Planning: Partnering with the Online Buying Manager to deliver the online strategy. Shaping the online range using digital customer insight, search behaviour, and conversion analytics. Creating seasonal online trade plans focused on driving digital growth and improving online customer journeys. Ensuring all online range decisions reflect online demand, fulfilment capacity and digital engagement opportunities.
  • Online Range Creation & Experience: Working closely with commercial teams to build a customer‑led online assortment including depth, phasing and attribute planning. Ensuring accuracy of online product data, imagery, attributes and categorisation to maximise search, browse and conversion. Leading go‑live readiness for all online range changes, seasonal launches and promotional events. Continuously optimising digital merchandising including product ordering, cross‑selling and filter refinement.
  • Online Stock, Forecasting & Fulfilment: Working with the central team to shape and deliver KPIs against the online WSSI. Maintaining optimal availability and stock levels by forecasting online demand and managing OTB for the online channel. Working with buying, suppliers and supply chain to ensure online‑appropriate lead times, stock flow and fulfilment readiness. Managing intake, replenishment and flow specifically for online channels to minimise delays and improve order fulfilment.
  • Digital Trading, Performance & Profitability: Reviewing online sales, stock, conversion, margin and markdown performance and coordinating rapid action plans. Trading daily and weekly based on online KPIs such as search performance, traffic, availability, content quality and exit rates. Using promotions, markdowns and price actions to maximise online profitability and optimise sell‑through. Ensuring full delivery of the online Trade & Events Plan through proactive critical path management.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Setting clear, ambitious objectives aligned to online metrics and strategy. Coaching and developing Online Assistant Merchandisers to build digital capability. Creating an inclusive, high‑performance culture where colleagues feel empowered, supported and able to thrive. Supporting colleagues to improve performance through coaching and structured development plans.

You will need:

  • Experience relevant for this job: Strong online or digital merchandising/planning experience. Proficiency with WSSI, forecasting tools, digital analytics and online trading metrics. Experience optimising ranges for online customer behaviour and conversion. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret digital performance data.
  • Operational skills relevant for this job: Online range planning & digital merchandising optimisation. Online forecasting, availability management & fulfilment understanding. Use of analytics tools (conversion, search, browse & engagement). Critical path ownership for online. Advanced Excel / analytics capability. Strong cross‑functional collaboration with buying, supply chain, digital product & content teams.
