About This Role

Based within the Client Accounts Team of the Accounts Department, this role involves processing all client property payments and maintaining timely bank reconciliations for trust bank accounts. You will support the Accounts Department by handling telephone enquiries relating to Direct Debits and payment queries, carrying out general administrative functions, and ensuring a professional and timely response is maintained at all times, delivering the highest levels of customer service.

Main Duties and Objectives

  • Daily cash allocation of receipts, including BACS, Standing Orders, Direct Debits, card payments, portal payments, and cheques
  • Posting payments to the management system for specific clients and properties across different group brands
  • Managing accounts receivable processes and controls, ensuring accurate and timely cash allocations, including clearing suspense accounts
  • Processing client Direct Debit instructions, cancellations, amendments, and payment plans, including adjustments due to unpaid receipts
  • Processing payments and refunds, including all relevant system inputs
  • Processing Direct Debit collections
  • Responding to and resolving internal and external queries via email and telephone
  • Supporting with other ad-hoc duties as required

Essential Skills

  • Experience in high-volume data management, transactions, and controls
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Highly analytical
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy periods
