About this Role:
This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering our vision to go beyond traditional property management. The Communities & Placemaking manager will lead initiatives that enhance the quality of life within our developments, foster strong community engagement, and create vibrant, sustainable places where people want to live.
You will develop and implement strategies that integrate social value, environmental stewardship, and community well-being into our service offering, ensuring our developments are not just homes, but thriving communities.
Hybrid - flexible working, 5 days over 7 to include evenings and weekend supporting the community.
Main Duties and Objectives:
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Communities & Placemaking Strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Identifyopportunitiestoenhancelanduseandcommunityspaceswithinlarge housing developments.
- Community Engagement &Partnerships
- Build strong relationships with residents, local authorities, and community stakeholders.
- Design and deliver engagement programs that promote inclusivity, social cohesion, and resident well-being.
- Take ownership of the process of hand over to residential control.
- Placemaking Initiatives
- Leadprojectsthattransformsharedspacesintovibrant,functionalareas(e.g., parks, community hubs, green corridors).
- Incorporatesustainabilityandbiodiversityprinciplesintoplacemakingplans.
- Innovation & Service Development
- Introduce new ideas and experiences that add value beyond property management.
- Monitoremergingtrendsinplacemaking,ESG,andcommunitydevelopmentto keep our offering competitive.
- Performance & Impact Measurement
- Define and work to KPIs for community engagement and placemaking success.
- Report on social value outcomes and long-term impact on resident satisfaction and retention.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in residential environments.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles, sustainability, and social value frameworks.
- Excellent stake holder management and communications kills.
- Abilitytoleadcross-functionalprojectsandinfluenceatseniorlevels.
- Creative thinker with a passion for building thriving communities.
