About thisRole:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Utilities Billing Assistant to join our Fexco Property Services brand based within our Head Office in the City Centre of Salisbury. As part of the Client Accounting teams, your role will be to assist with the full billing processes and controls for multiple properties under our management, and to meet our clients (both internal and external) expectations.

  • Report to the Utilities Billing Manager on the completion of tasks within set deadlines.
  • Manage and monitor the repair/replacement of heat meters, liase directly with residents, make appointments and organise contractors.
  • Review and authenticate resident meter readings, estimating reads where necessary.
  • Administer the registration of heat networks for compliance and assist in regulatory reporting.
  • Provide cover for all aspects of utility billing to customers, including but not limited to; heating/hot water, electricity, water and electric vehicle (EV) charging billing.
  • Assist with the Utilities in-box, responding to internal and external queries.
  • Communicate with internal and external parties on metering and billing queries and assisting to collate and provide information required.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as may be required.
  • Minimum 12 months experience within administration.
  • Positive and proactive attitude, highly engaged and self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Minimum intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A confident and assured telephone manner.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
  • An effective and proactive team member and wider team player.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience of high-volume data management and transaction analysis.
  • Previous billing experience.
  • Previous utility experience.
  • Previous experience working with external Clients and Customers.
  • Experience of using property management software, such as QUBE or Propman.
  • Desire to learn and grow in the role.
