Key Responsibilities
- Resident Support & Welfare
- To maintain regular contact with all residents and to make contact with any residents requiring a daily contact to check on their well-being.
Method of contact to be arranged/agreed between Estate Manager and individual resident, this can change from time to time depending on the individual’s health and needs.
- Help residents generally and promote a friendly and convivial atmosphere within the development.
The Estate Manager may be required to organise and promote events, which are of benefit of residents, including coffee mornings and social events.
- To provide a link to other support such as relatives, neighbours, doctors, domiciliary welfare services etc. and obtain help as required, and liaise with external support services (relatives, doctors, welfare services).
- Renew annually ARC TV License for eligible residents.
- Maintenance, Contractors & Minor Works
- Responding to requests from lessees for minor work.
- Liaising with contractors and surveyors.
- Administering minor works processes, including record keeping, instructing contractors, process chasing, diary keeping, correspondence, processing invoices, and filing.
- Liaising with other colleagues and departments within the Remus/Fexco.
- Provide administrative support to Property Manager and Board of Directors.
- Dealing with telephone calls, correspondence and any other support tasks as required.
- Assisting with the posting of mail merges.
- Take and administer minutes of monthly board meetings.
- Health, Safety & Security
- Ensure adequate security through the Estate. Note and report on any items that may involve Health & Safety Issues.
- The MASTER KEYS must be always held in the Estate Manager control.
- The Estate Manager is responsible for testing the Tunstall System via pendant or wall unit system on a monthly basis and for keeping a record with the residents' signature on file.
- To follow the local Fire Officer's requirements and to ensure that they visit the development annually.
- Site Management
- Every Friday, Estate manager to check all bins on site to ensure they have been emptied. Any non-emptied are to be reported via the council website.
- General Duties
- Be on call during the hours of 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
- Any other reasonable tasks required for the estate.
