The Building Safety and Project Manager oversees and ensures the safety and compliance of all systems, structures, and operations within a portfolio of High-Rise and Medium Rise Buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records within our internal databases and Building Safety Team SharePoint to ensure all assets and buildings are maintained according to current UK Legislation and British Standards.
  • Take ownership for developing a project plan and project delivery to address defined areas of building compliance and the golden thread across our HRB and MRBs, with guidance from the Director of HRB.
  • Manage the project timeline and proactively problem solve to ensure the project progresses on time and to signposted deliverables.
  • Conduct GAP analysis of key risk areas across the team function i.e compliance, golden thread.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to senior managers in line with agreed KPIs.
  • Confidently manage own time and prioritise work independently as well as part of a high performing and supportive team environment.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with all other company departments to ensure communication and service delivery.
  • Participate in meetings with external stakeholders such as Councils, Resident Groups, Fire Rescue Service, Developers, supported by the Associate Director of Building Safety.
  • Support with information gathering to produce Key Building Information to the Health and Safety Executive.
  • Support the process and management of Leaseholder and Landlord Certificates.
  • Oversight and support the PM teams with PIBS, building plans, and wayfinding signage.

Must Have Skills:

  • Competent in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Competent in analysing statistics and data.
  • Verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to any new demands of the business.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Leasehold experience.
  • Strong understanding of building safety legislation.
  • Experience in property management / Asset management / health and safety or related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Reporting, confidently using Excel and PowerPoint.
