About this Role: As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, or fixing a variety of things within, or on the outside of our managed buildings and estates, within the Group. These buildings and estates will be based in and around Bristol/Gloucestershire/Worcester/along the M5 corridor. You will be required to serve the Southwest and Midlands.
Main Duties and Objectives
- Repairing guttering
- Painting / staining / varnishing of walls/ceilings/timber/metalwork both externally and internally
- Hanging doors and fitting skirting boards
- Repairing or rebuilding walls
- Masonry work on external walls or steps, laying slabs, erecting fences, laying vinyl flooring
- Removal of non-domestic waste
- Carpet cleaning
- Any other duties as appropriate
Must Have Skills
- The ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
- Knowledge of building and construction
- The ability to work well with your hands
- Problem-solving skills
- Practical skills for repairing and maintaining
