A founding full-stack engineer to join a pre-seed FinTech B2C product in London (4 days in office in Shoreditch, London). Up to £120k + meaningful equity. No VISA sponsorship.
The Company: An early-stage, consumer fintech startup building a new kind of personal finance platform. Backed at pre-seed with a multi-year runway. The team is intentionally small (currently 3 full-time), highly technical, and product-led. We’re looking for a senior full stack product engineer to help design and build the core of the platform as they move from internal alpha to public beta and beyond.
You will be building a personal finance product focused on context, clarity, and long-term financial habits. The platform aggregates people’s banking, investments, and pensions into a single view, surfacing financial “vitals” without judgement or prescriptive advice. Under the hood, the product is powered by a proprietary data schema to turn messy financial data into meaningful, comparable insights. This is a senior, hands-on role with ownership across architecture and execution. You will be instrumental in building and scaling the core systems that underpin the product.
You will work on a wide variety of projects including:
- Bank connectivity and transaction ingestion
- Live transaction categorisation
- Data modelling
Tech Stack: Go (backend leaning), Typescript, React, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Python, LLMs where appropriate. Help shape the stack!
What We’re Looking For:
- Senior-level product engineer (ideally 6+ years experience), building with Go or other backend-focused languages
- A full-stack background (Typescript, React), with solid architectural fundamentals
- Experience handling large or complex datasets at scale, and thoughtful about data sensitivity, privacy, and personal information
- An interest in product and how people actually use what you build
- A pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset
Why Join:
- Shape the core architecture from the ground up
- Build something genuinely different in personal finance
- Meaningful equity at an early-stage startup
- Direct influence on product, technical direction, and company trajectory
If you’re a senior product engineer who enjoys ownership, cares about data integrity, and wants to build a product people trust with their financial lives, we’d love to hear from you.
