We’re working with an early-stage robotics startup building the AI intelligence layer for industrial robots, enabling them to adapt to the real world rather than follow hard-coded instructions. Their focus is using computer vision and learning-based systems to make robotic arms flexible enough to operate in messy, variable manufacturing environments.

What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and implementing computer vision pipelines for robotic perception
- Selecting and validating sensing hardware (RGB, stereo, RGB-D, ToF, structured light, laser profiling)
- Aligning real sensor data with CAD models and robot frames
- Extracting geometry, pose, and scene understanding for downstream planning and control
- Making perception systems robust to noise, lighting variation, reflections, and occlusion
