We’re looking for a Mid-Level Backend Go Engineer to join an AI startup about to raise £10M in new funding
The product is a Generative AI company pioneering the development of customizable, privacy-preserving AI solutions; custom LLMs tailored to integrate seamlessly into enterprise applications, particularly within the financial sector.
A company of 10, the Co-Founders have PhDs in the AI/ML field & are looking for their 4th Backend Engineer to keep up with client demand for Product Development
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain performant services in Go, playing a key role in designing and building real-time, distributed systems that scale effortlessly and perform reliably under high load.
- Collaborate with Founders and the Frontend Engineering team to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and secure
- Work with cloud infrastructure, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
- Take part in code reviews, architecture discussions, and performance tuning
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a closely related field
- 3-5 years experience building scalable, high-performance, real-time applications in a startup environment
- Strong programming skills in Go (Golang)
- Great understanding of distributed systems , microservices architecture , and event-driven design
- Experience working with cloud platforms
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
