Few Far is working with a Series B EdTech company, they are a fast-growing technology platform transforming how schools hire teachers and teaching assistants across the UK and US.

Schools use our platform to book staff for:

  • Short-term cover (e.g. daily absences)
  • Longer-term placements (e.g. maternity cover)

By combining technology with a marketplace model, we enable schools to hire more efficiently while improving outcomes for educators and students. Compared to traditional agencies, we operate on lower margins but significantly higher volume, driven by automation and a superior user experience.

The Role

We’re hiring a VP of Sales (UK) to lead and scale our school acquisition engine.

This role is responsible for:

  • Driving growth across individual schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs)
  • Leading and developing a high-performing sales organisation
  • Building the systems, processes, and strategy required to scale efficiently

You’ll manage a team of 4–6 direct reports (team leads, managers, sales operations), with indirect influence over ~25 people including SDRs and regional leaders.

This is a hands-on leadership role—equal parts strategy, execution, and team development.

What We’re Looking For

We’ve already built strong foundations:

  • One of the leading suppliers in our space and among the fastest-growing companies in the UK
  • A high-performing sales team that’s ready for the next level of leadership
  • A differentiated product that delivers real impact across the education system

Now we’re looking for someone to take us further.

You’ll thrive in this role if:

  • You’re a proven sales leader who cares as much about building systems and teams as closing deals
  • You’re comfortable operating across strategy, process, and execution
  • You set a high bar and know how to coach teams to consistently hit it

What Success Looks Like

In your first 6–12 months, you might:

  • Redefine our customer segmentation and go-to-market strategy during a period of industry change
  • Test and scale new acquisition channels
  • Double the size of the outbound function and build a world-class SDR team
  • Develop and roll out sales playbooks for new products targeting multi-academy trusts

Traits That Drive Success

  • You’re a systems thinker who brings clarity to ambiguity
  • You think big and long-term, not just incremental improvements
  • You’re highly structured and process-driven, building repeatable playbooks for success
  • You can align teams, not just ideas
  • You simplify complex problems into clear, actionable strategies
  • You anticipate change and proactively outmanoeuvre competitors
  • You’re motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education system
