AI PRODUCT MANAGER (DEFENCE/MARITIME) | UP TO £75K | OXFORD HYBRID

Few Far are partnering with a Sovereign Defence Security scaleup who are hiring a Permanent Product Manager to take end-to-end ownership of their flagship maritime AI platform.

This platform is already live, integrated onto existing hardware, and proven through operational sea trials. It processes massive streams of sensor data in bandwidth-constrained environments, giving maritime commanders real-time situational awareness when every second counts.

What makes this role stand out:

  • Full Product Autonomy: Ownership of product roadmap, bridging research scientists, engineers, and commercial leads to translate complex user needs into deployable software.
  • Work-Life Balance Location: Office in Oxford, but with a flexible policy requiring just 4 days a month on-site (plus likely travel to client sites).
  • Growth Equity: £55K to £75K base + EMI equity options + health insurance (and more), offering real upside as the business scales.

Role Duties:

  • Own the maritime AI product day to day, taking it forward from its current deployed state.
  • Shape the Product Roadmap and vision, with scope to define how the product grows commercially and expands beyond maritime.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, delivery, and commercial teams to balance client needs, technical constraints, and business priorities.
  • Be the person who really “owns” the product end to end, from roadmap thinking through to deployment-stage progress.

What they need:

  • ~3 to 5 years of dedicated product management experience (not project management or delivery-only roles).
  • Can work closely with Technical/Software/ML Teams.
  • Experience taking a product through the full lifecycle: scoping/idea through to deployment.
  • UK Eyes Only nationality status (must be eligible for UK SC clearance, bonus if you already have it) (unfortunately dual citizens cannot be considered).
  • Maritime or Defence experience is a huge plus, but strong AI/Tech PMs eager to learn the domain are strongly welcomed.
  • Max 1 month notice period (up to 6 weeks considered).
