From our modern UK test and engineering centre in Coventry we work on exciting e‑powertrain projects contributing to significant reduction in CO2 in transportation and mobility.
- Qualification
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with an automotive background preferred
- Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience, including placements or internships
- Basic understanding of powertrain systems, vehicle fundamentals, and automotive engineering principles
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and automation principles as applied to automotive applications
- Exposure to calibration, data analysis, or automotive communication tools (e. g. INCA, CANalyzer) would be advantageous
- Understanding of CAN bus systems, sensors, actuators, and data acquisition is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Tasks
- Support calibration and development activities for conventional internal combustion, hybrid and battery electric powertrain systems
- Assist in the collection, processing and analysis of test data
- Work closely with senior engineers to support issue investigation and resolution
- Contribute to validation activities, including test bench and vehicle‑based testing
- Participate in global test trips and development activities at customer sites
- Develop knowledge of calibration tools, processes and methodologies
