My client is a leading regional civil engineering contractor working across Civils, Highways, Tunnelling, Drainage and Utilities and have a variety of frameworks in the SE. They are looking to recruit an experienced 'Works Manager' to assist in the timely delivery of the projects.
Role Description:
- Daily planning of project works and resource management
- Managing the quality of work by direct labour and subcontractors
- Liaising with key stakeholders and attending liaison meetings
- Setting up regular and clear lines of communication to address issues that may arise
- Reporting to the Senior Project Manager each month, or as frequently agreed, on progress and all commercial matters
- Maintaining a clean, safe and secure site at all times
- Assisting the Project Manager with the implementation and management of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
- Directing and managing all site-based activities
Requirements:
- NVQ L6/7 in Construction Management and/or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering (not essential)
- Strong project management background on civil engineering projects, specifically Highways and Infrastructure, 278 Works
- Excellent supervision and organisational skills
- Experience in successfully managing relationships with stakeholders and members of the public
- Proven management skills and ability to manage a project effectively and efficiently, delivering high outputs and exceeding our client's expectations
