Our client, an architectural metalwork specialist contractor, is seeking an experienced Advance Steel Designer / Detailer to join our busy fabrication and engineering team.

Operating fully from the main office, you will work closely alongside our project managers and workshop teams to produce high-quality 3D models and precise manufacturing drawings for general and architectural metalwork

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed drawings for Approval for general and architectural metalwork.
  • Produce detailed fabrication and erection drawings for general and architectural metalwork.
  • Create 3D models and 2D CAD drawings using Autodesk Advance Steel.
  • Generate accurate General Arrangement drawings, assembly details, and material schedules.
  • Collaborate in-person with project managers, structural engineers, and workshop fabrication teams.
  • Interpret engineering calculations and project specifications to deliver design intent on time.

Requirements

  • Essential: Minimum 2+ years of continuous draughting and detailing experience using Advance Steel.
  • Solid understanding of architectural / general metalwork and fabrication processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve drawing queries on-site and in the workshop.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work to strict project deadlines
