The Assets Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for the technical and creative oversight of all episodic assets. Working closely with the Directors and Art Directors, you will define the scope of pre-production and in-show assets, ensuring the highest possible quality is achieved within the constraints of the resources, schedule, and budget. You will function as the key technical advisor, collaborating with directors to plan the successful delivery of their creative vision and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities (Day To Day)- Technical & Creative Solutions: Accountable for all assets, providing technical and creative solutions to pipeline and production challenges.
- Schedule & Resource Planning: Collaborate with Line Producers/Production Managers to define and plan realistic schedules for the asset build team.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Brief artists, effectively delegate work, and provide technical guidance and support to junior artists/interns on best work practices.
- Quality Control: Ensure artists consistently deliver efficient models, textures, and shaders that maintain a uniform quality and integrate seamlessly into our production pipeline.
- Art Direction Support: Assist Art Directors with asset feedback, providing a technical perspective and advising on what is practically achievable within scope.
- Inter-Departmental Flow: Communicate proactively with other departments (e.g., Rigging, Lighting) to understand their needs and find efficient methods to build assets that meet those requirements.
- Pipeline Development: Provide feedback to the pipeline team on any asset-related issues and suggest or advise on new asset-related tools and workflow improvements.
- Talent Management: Work with the Head of Productions and People & Talent team to manage, mentor, and develop the team. Contribute to the hiring process by interviewing potential candidates.
- Supervisory Guidance: Mentor and advise Leads on practical and artistic suggestions for problem-solving, ensuring they feel supported in their leadership capacity.
- Production Reporting: Communicate regularly with Line Producers/Production Managers regarding resource challenges, including exploring additional resources and troubleshooting schedule delays.
- Leadership Experience: A proven record of asset leadership experience on professional animation productions.
- Technical Mastery: Strong working knowledge of industry-standard 3D software packages and production pipelines.
- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills for creative and technical hurdles.
- Creative Eye: An experienced and honed creative eye for visual quality and detail.
- Process Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the entire animation production process.
