I am urgently seeking an Interim Employee Relations Advisor for an Educational Institution based in Hertfordshire for an initial period of 6 months on a fixed term contract at a salary in the range of £39,000 to £42,000 per year. Working on a hybrid basis with 1 to 2 days per week on site and the remainder working remotely, you will work alongside 2 other ER Advisors and with the HR Business Partnering team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role within a unionised environment, preferably from the Public or Not-for-profit sectors. Your role will involve Employee Relations casework mainly covering performance, ill health and grievances and you should have experience of supporting on investigations as well as managing hearings.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Professional HR Qualifications, a degree or equivalent qualification
  • CIPD Qualification or working towards it
  • Proven HR case work experience, including but not limited to disciplinary processes, grievance, absence management and claims of harassment and bullying
  • Demonstrable experience in analysing and risk managing cases, delivering appropriate solutions
  • Experience of advising staff and managers
  • Experience of working with trade unions
