An exciting opportunity to join a large, diverse public-sector organisation based in Manchester City Centre who are currently seeking a dedicated Assistant HR Business Partner to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract. Your New Role

As Assistant HR Business Partner, you will provide strategic support to your business area, overseeing a large faculty. You will provide specialist HR advice across the organisation and build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels. You will have the opportunity to oversee a vibrant and diverse area and will coach managers to enhance their capability and knowledge of employment policies, to ensure they meet people management deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with a large faculty, providing sound HR knowledge and advice.
  2. Collaborate with senior leadership to address current challenges and develop strategic solutions.
  3. Engage in strategic HR activities and workforce planning.
  4. Develop and implement HR interventions in partnership with colleagues.
  5. Analyse people data to identify areas of concern and escalate as needed.
  6. Attend and actively participate in meetings, acting as HR Business Partner.
  7. Lead change management initiatives.
  8. Champion developments and embed approaches to deliver the Great Place to Work Strategy.
  9. Handle complex casework as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Strong business partnering experience.
  2. Experience advising and supporting people managers in a large/complex organisation.
  3. Experience managing complex case work and change management.
  4. Ability to influence and persuade people managers.
  5. Strong analytical skills to identify trends and propose solutions.
  6. Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.
  7. Up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR policy, and practice.
  8. Desirable: Experience in higher education or similar sectors.
