This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Estimator role based in Stirling. The Electrical Estimator will review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate electrical cost estimates for a range of construction and building services projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing quantity take-offs, sourcing and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations, and preparing detailed cost breakdowns and bid documents. The role will involve working closely with project managers, engineers, and the commercial team to ensure estimates align with technical requirements, budgets, and timelines. The Electrical Estimator will also support value engineering, risk assessment, and cost control activities throughout the project lifecycle, while maintaining organized records and contributing to continuous improvement in estimating processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong Electrical Estimating skills, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and preparation of tender submissions.
  • Knowledge of Cost Control and commercial principles to support budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering.
  • Experience in Electrical Contracting environments, with an understanding of installation methods and site practices.
  • Solid understanding of Electricity systems and Electrical Engineering fundamentals relevant to building services.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital tools used for measurement and costing.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electrical engineering, building services, or a related discipline; professional accreditation or progression toward it is an advantage.
  • Experience in the UK construction or building services sector, with familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, is highly beneficial.
