The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join the clinical team at Fertifa, a fast-growing health-tech making a real impact in people’s lives. As the Head of Clinical Services (Mat Cover), you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our virtual clinic, ensuring clinical excellence, patient safety and operational efficiency across all pathways, including leadership of our clinical services team. You will be operating beyond direct clinical delivery to also progress the building and scaling of a robust clinical system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the delivery of best-in-class clinical care, through efficient, high-quality operational leadership of Fertifa’s virtual clinic.
- Define and enforce clear clinical guard rails and scopes of practice for the team.
- Provide the team with guidance on complex cases and support their clinical decision making across all service areas.
- Manage the team in a data driven way to track performance and identify areas for service development.
- Lead the clinical team through regular 1 to 1s, appraisals and performance reviews.
- Optimise the use of internal tools to ensure the clinical team is working efficiently and at scale.
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding and induction of new clinical team members.
- Assist in building strategic relationships with partners and diagnostic providers across the UK.
- Participate in creating and delivering educational materials for employers and employees registered with Fertifa.
- Collaborate with other Fertifa departments to provide clinical insights and lead internal education sessions.
- Ensure clinical documentation is accurate, prompt and compliant with GDPR.
- Stay abreast of the evolving regulatory environment to ensure Fertifa remains compliant.
- Act as a lead for gaining and retaining certifications such as ISO.
- Ensure successful launch and ongoing management of any new potential clinical pathways.
Skills & Attributes:
- A registered healthcare professional with a natural curiosity and broad understanding of a number of our clinical pathways.
- Strong experience in managing day to day clinical operations.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to mentor a team through high pressure situations.
- A deep understanding of Scope of Practice and risk management within a digital health environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with a meticulous eye for detail.

Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role.
- Experience in a clinical lead, clinic manager or head of service role.
- A broad understanding of clinical pathways.
- Solid understanding of ISO and CQC standards.
- Organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience in delivering health education and patient consultations.
