The role is designed for a senior technical professional evolved into coordination, capable of operating between:

This is not a pure Project Manager role, but a technical delivery and integration role.

The position sits within projects characterised by:

  • multi-vendor SCADA environments
  • complex OT system integration
  • commissioning-intensive phases
  • interaction with EPCs, OEMs and plant operators

Key challenge: ensuring systems are not only installed, but fully integrated and operational in real conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industrial Networks & Communications: Lead and support the configuration, validation and troubleshooting of industrial communication networks as a core part of system integration and commissioning.
  • Network Configuration & Infrastructure: Work hands-on with industrial network infrastructure, including configuration of managed industrial switches, IP addressing aligned with system architecture, VLAN configuration and traffic segmentation, and basic routing concepts.
  • Industrial Protocols & Data Flow: Ensure correct configuration and operation of Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA. Validate end-to-end data flow across field devices, PLCs, SCADA systems.
  • Network Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues such as connectivity failures, latency/instability, and physical layer issues. Apply structured troubleshooting.
  • Integration with System Behaviour: Ensure network configuration supports reliable command execution, feedback consistency, and real-time performance.
  • Coordination with OT & Infrastructure Teams: Interface with network/IT/OT security and vendors/integrators. Align network configuration, system architecture, and commissioning requirements.
  • Operational Reliability & Readiness: Validate that networks are stable, properly structured, and aligned with system criticality.
  • System Coherence & Cross-Layer Ownership: Own and ensure end-to-end coherence of system behaviour across field devices, PLC logic, industrial network, and SCADA systems.
  • Single Source of Truth: Ensure full alignment between PLC states, transmitted data, and SCADA representation.
  • End-to-End Traceability: Validate traceability of signals from field to PLC to network to SCADA.
  • False State Detection: Identify situations where SCADA shows operation but the system is not functioning.
  • Cross-Domain Integration: Ensure that PLC logic, communications, and SCADA operate as a single coherent system.
  • Resolution Ownership: Take responsibility for resolving issues across PLC, network, and SCADA.
  • Operational Trust: Ensure system behaviour is predictable, verifiable, and aligned with reality.
  • Technical Coordination: Act as interface between EPC contractors, SCADA vendors, engineering teams, and operations.
  • System Validation & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve integration issues across communications, SCADA-PLC interaction, and instrumentation.
  • Project Delivery Support: Support FAT/SAT and contribute to delivery readiness.

Required Profile:

  • Strong industrial automation/SCADA experience.
  • Strong experience in commissioning, system integration, and field environments.
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects.
