At Infrasolutions, we are looking for a Field Technology Technician with solid experience in industrial automation, communications systems, and on-site technology deployment. The ideal candidate should have strong technical capability, hands-on field experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment. This role requires a multi-disciplinary technician with expertise across automation, communications, IT configuration and electrical panel construction—capable of supporting end-to-end system deployment in the field.
Key Technical Requirements
- PLC and SCADA Programming
- Proven experience in PLC programming, configuration, and diagnostics.
- Ability to perform on-site troubleshooting, logic adjustments, and commissioning activities.
- Experience with SCADA systems, including configuration, communication mapping, tag management, alarms, and functional testing.
- Communications Systems
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
- Understanding of network topologies and communication architecture in field environments.
- Ability to configure and test serial, fibre, and IP-based communication links.
- IT Equipment Configuration
- Experience configuring industrial IT devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, gateways and embedded industrial PCs.
- Ability to perform IP addressing, VLANs, routing basics, device hardening and network diagnostics.
- Experience installing and configuring platforms, firmware updates, system backups and remote access.
- Electrical and Electronic Panel Assembly
- Hands-on experience in building electrical and electronic cabinets, wiring, cable routing, and hardware installation.
- Ability to read and work from electrical diagrams, schematics and panel layout drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards, grounding, power distribution and low-voltage systems.
- Field Work Requirements
- Ability to work on construction/industrial sites, perform equipment installation, integration, testing and commissioning.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the capability to work under time-critical conditions.
- Willingness to travel to site when required.
- Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and autonomy.
- Clear communication skills for coordinating with engineering, suppliers and site teams.
- High attention to detail and quality when working with safety-critical systems.
