The role
Ferrovial Construction is looking for Quantity Surveyor Interns to assist with commercial management/contract administration at Heathrow Airport from June to the end of August 2026. The Ferrovial NextGen Internship programme is designed to develop personal, professional, and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of our Senior Quantity Surveyors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with tender enquiries, analysis of quotations and subcontractor procurement.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the management of the day‑to‑day bill of quantities for the relevant sections of allocated projects to ensure financial efficiencies.
- Help analyse subcontractor valuations.
- Focus on cost control in line with the business’s financial systems.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure compliance with financial parameters.
- Assist in the production and monitoring of applications, final accounts, payment certificates, and change control.
- Assist in checking agreed sub‑contract applications and accounts.
- Support document control.
- Contribute to the achievement of health and safety in accordance with company policy.
- Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors, and external contacts.
- Adopt and promote Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values; take ownership of assigned work.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels.
- Excellent written and oral English language proficiency.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Currently studying a Degree or Masters in Quantity Surveying.
