We design and construct major transport infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland, delivering complex projects with a focus on sustainability.

The role

Ferrovial Construction is looking for Environmental Graduates to assist on a variety of major UK infrastructure projects. The 2‑year graduate development programme is designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of Environmental Managers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Contribute towards Ferrovial Construction UK sustainability strategy and the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy and ensure Environmental standards on our projects are upheld.
  • Write and review environmental documentation including Environmental Management Plans & Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Develop briefing and communication strategies to ensure environmental plans are understood by all employees and subcontractors.
  • Monitor compliance of construction works on site and relevant documentation in accordance with Works Information, Ferrovial standards and relevant Technical Standards.
  • Prepare environmental and sustainability reports for the senior team.
  • Support the Project Environmental Manager with investigations and audits.
  • Advise on Environmental requirements and best practice, promoting a continuous improvement culture and innovation.
  • Promote customer requirements throughout the business.
  • Adopt and promote Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values.
  • Tend to ownership and completion of assigned work.
  • Adhere to safe working practice regulations on‑site and ensure all staff comply.
  • Support Ferrovial Construction Environmental and Sustainability policies and procedures.

  • Degree or Masters (all disciplines considered).
  • Motivated to learn and add value to the team, role and Graduate programme.

  • Must have right to work in the UK by the start of employment and for the duration of the Graduate Programme.
