Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design delivery of the Calvert Infrastructure Maintenance Depot from Scheme Design through to As-built stage.
- Coordinate and lead design efforts, supervise designers and subcontractors, ensure integration of design stages, manage digital deliverables, and align with project timelines, costs, and client requirements.
- Secure design-related permits and consents, engaging with stakeholders as needed.
- Participate in meetings with construction, design, and client teams, and lead design issue resolutions.
- Support construction teams with design issues, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Identify and assess changes, risks, and opportunities, aiming for efficiencies and cost savings.
- Provide technical support for commercial documentation and ensure interface management.
- Ensure design integration, manage interfaces, and monitor performance against project metrics.
- Oversee technical assurance and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or Architecture.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and site requirements.
- Experience managing railway depot designs or large complex buildings.
- Understanding of architectural, MEP, and railway engineering disciplines.
- Proven experience managing design teams and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
