The Quality and Information Manager will oversee the project’s management systems, quality assurance, certification, and information management. This includes developing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining the project’s Common Data Environment systems and IT infrastructure. This role requires extensive experience in construction and quality management, with a strong background in Building Information Modelling (BIM), software setup, IT, and reporting tools such as Power BI.

Location: The role will be based in Vauxhall for the first ~9 months. During this time, candidates must be able to travel to the Slough site regularly. Once construction begins, the role will be based full time in Slough.

Reports to: Quality, Systems and Technology Director (Functionally) and Project Director (Operational)

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Quality Management: Implement and manage quality assurance processes to ensure that construction projects meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Information Management: Ensure all relevant project information is captured, registered, and circulated using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and BIM 3D models.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on information management systems and processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including construction, quality, BIM and IT departments, to ensure seamless information flow and project success.
  • Lead Auditing: Conduct and lead auditing activities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant BIM and IT standards.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of quality and information management systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable IS standards (ISO 9001, ISO19650, ISO44001, ISO27001), and maintain the project JV certification.
  • Liaise with Client Quality, Digital Construction & Data Management / BIM, IT representatives.
  • Monitor the project management systems and maintain relevant procedures, ensuring they support on-time and cost-effective project delivery while protecting the JV through regular audits, surveillance checks, and compliance monitoring.
  • Manage project handover effectively by establishing appropriate controls, reporting, and monitoring for progressive handover.
  • Position-Specific Responsibilities:
  • Prepare key quality deliverables and management system arrangements, including writing Quality Management Plans and other quality-related plans and procedures.
  • Lead the implementation and management of digital processes across projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the setup and maintenance of software systems and IT infrastructure to support project information management.
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems using tools such as Power BI to provide insights across various disciplines.
  • Supervise and manage document control, IT, BIM and other information management staff.
  • Travel between project site offices as required.
  • Manage, communicate, promote and enforce the Client Requirements for Quality, BIM and IT management in line with FC’s Management System.
  • Take the lead role in facilitating and conducting Quality sessions with Project Management and Work Packages teams, including suppliers.
  • Advise and guide the Project Management team on Quality, BIM, and IT procedures.
  • Monitor QMP compliance throughout the project, working with the Quality, BIM, and IT departments to ensure processes support the Employer’s quality assurance requirements.
  • Ensure that an effective audit programme is developed and that audits are undertaken by qualified competent auditors.
  • Promote and maintain the Right First Time/continuous improvement at all levels, and progressive handover of the project.
  • Complete Management review as per project and JV requirements.
  • Analysing any trends of non-conformities and implement measures to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Ensure accurate and timely KPI reporting and maintain a Works Package quality register.
  • Ensure compliance with FC processes and management systems.
  • Establish and maintain a matrix of authorised signatories and competent people.
  • Promote regular quality, BIM and IT reviews by the Project Management team.
  • Advise Project Management and suppliers on preparing certificates of compliance, ensuring design and production requirements are clearly referenced and confirmed as met.
  • Ensure that HAZOP studies or similar are initiated, and progressively addressed.
  • Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, sub-contractors and other external contacts.
  • Ensure processes are digitised and implemented correctly.
  • Managing Handover and Asset integration.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in construction and quality management.
  • Proven experience setting up managing system, auditing and certification.
  • Proven experience with BIM implementation, digitalisation and experience with ISO 19650 standards.
  • Qualified Lead Auditor ISO 9001.
  • Strong knowledge of EDMS, CDE setup and IT infrastructure.

Relevant Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in AI implementation and management.
  • Familiarity with AI agents and their integration into construction management systems.
  • Proven previous experience with Asite, Power BI, BIM software packages, and software setup.
  • Management and integration of APIs to streamline workflows.
