The role
Ferrovial Construction is looking for a Quantity Surveyor Intern to support commercial management and contract administration on our Sewage Treatment Works project, from June to the end of August 2026. The Ferrovial NextGen Internship programme is designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of our Senior Quantity Surveyors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of the day-to-day bill of quantities for the relevant sections of allocated projects to ensure financial efficiencies
- Help analyse subcontractor valuations
- Focus on cost control in line with the businesses’ financial systems
- Liaise with the procurement teams as required to ensure compliance with financial parameters
- Assist in the production and monitoring of Applications/Final Accounts/payment certificates/change control
- Assist in checking agreed sub-contract Applications/Accounts
- Document control
- Contribute to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy
- Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts
- Adopt and promote Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values
Skills and Competence

- Currently studying a Degree or Masters in Quantity Surveying
