We are seeking a Senior OT / SCADA Integration & Commissioning Lead to support the delivery of complex industrial and infrastructure projects, with a focus on system integration, commissioning and technical coordination in field environments. The role is designed for a senior technical professional evolved into coordination, capable of operating between:

  • hands‑on SCADA / PLC work
  • system‑level integration
  • coordination of EPC contractors, vendors and operations

This is not a pure Project Manager role, but a technical delivery and integration role.

ROLE CONTEXT

  • multi‑vendor SCADA environments
  • complex OT system integration
  • commissioning‑intensive phases
  • interaction with EPCs, OEMs and plant operators

Key challenge: ensuring systems are not only installed, but fully integrated and operational in real conditions.

Commissioning & Integration Lead

  • Validate integration between PLC systems, SCADA platforms, third‑party/OEM systems.
  • Ensure correct behaviour of signals, commands vs feedback system states.

Industrial Networks & Communications (Core Capability)

  • Lead and support configuration, validation and troubleshooting of industrial communication networks, including managed industrial switches and VLAN configuration.
  • Configure IP addressing, routing, subnets and gateways aligned with system architecture.
  • Support and validate network topologies: star, ring, redundant architectures and distributed I/O networks.
  • Ensure correct configuration and operation of Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA.
  • Validate end‑to‑end data flow across field devices, PLCs and SCADA systems; identify and resolve data inconsistencies or stale values.
  • Diagnose connectivity failures, latency, physical layer issues, and apply structured troubleshooting to isolate root cause.

Integration with System Behaviour

  • Ensure network configuration supports reliable command execution and feedback consistency.
  • Detect scenarios where systems appear functional but are degraded; SCADA does not reflect real system state.

Coordination with OT & Infrastructure Teams

  • Interface with network/IT/OT security vendors, integrators and align network configuration with system architecture and commissioning requirements.

Operational Reliability & Readiness

  • Validate networks are stable, properly structured and aligned with system criticality.
  • Ensure readiness for FAT/SAT, commissioning and handover.

System Coherence & Cross‑Layer Ownership (PLC, Network, SCADA)

  • Own end‑to‑end coherence of field devices, PLC logic, industrial network and SCADA systems.
  • Resolve discrepancies between commanded vs actual state, logic vs visualisation, real system vs operator perception.
  • Validate traceability of signals and detect false state situations.

Resolution Ownership

  • Resolve issues across PLC, network and SCADA, avoiding gaps between disciplines or vendors.

Operational Trust

  • Ensure system behaviour is predictable, verifiable and aligned with reality.

Technical Coordination

  • Act as interface between EPC contractors, SCADA vendors, engineering teams and operations.
  • Align implementation with operational needs and coordinate during startup, shutdown and commissioning.

System Validation & Troubleshooting

  • Identify and resolve integration issues across communications, SCADA‑PLC interaction and instrumentation.
  • Validate full system behaviour under real conditions.
  • Support SCADA platforms: PcVue, PCS7, WinCC/AVEVA; ensure alarms, monitoring and data coherence.

Project Delivery Support

  • Support FAT/SAT and contribute to delivery readiness.
  • Mitigate risks related to integration, sequencing and dependencies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong industrial automation / SCADA experience.
  • Strong experience in commissioning, system integration and field environments.
  • Experience in infrastructure / energy / industrial projects, EPC environments.
  • Real commissioning experience and system‑level troubleshooting capability.
  • Ability to detect cross‑layer inconsistencies (PLC, Network, SCADA).
  • Technical background in SCADA (PcVue, PCS7, WinCC, AVEVA), PLC (Siemens TIA Portal preferred, Schneider, Codesys).
  • Communications & networks knowledge of Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA and industrial networks.
  • Practical experience in switch configuration, network troubleshooting in field.
  • Experience with PV plants / energy projects.
