We are looking for Graduate Engineers to assist with, and in some cases be responsible for, day‑to‑day activities on a variety of major UK infrastructure projects. The 2‑year graduate development programme is designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach, working under the supervision of Section/Project Managers and the site team.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will either be assigned a project or a small package to manage from start to finish, contributing to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy and ensuring quality on our projects is upheld.
  • Assist in the coordination of team activities to ensure that projects are completed on budget and on time, following the agreed construction process.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Support the Project Manager in managing the team, including advising on appropriate resourcing levels, performance management, employee development and motivation.
  • Adopt and promote Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values, taking ownership of assigned work.
  • Adhere to safe working practice regulations on site and ensure staff compliance.

Skills and Competence

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact at various levels.
  • Degree or master’s in engineering (all disciplines considered).
  • Motivated to learn and add value to the team, the role and the Graduate Programme.
  • Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated individual who is a proven team player.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of the industry.
  • Familiar with all Microsoft office packages.

  • Can work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Previous engineering experience.

  • Right to work in the UK by the start of employment and throughout the entire graduate programme.
