We are seeking a Cost Planner to support the effective management of cost, budget, and performance on the HS2 Track infrastructure project. The role will play a key part in ensuring alignment between cost data, the Clause 32 (CL32) Accepted Programme, and the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB). Working within the Project Controls and planning team, you will support cost forecasting, budget control, and earned value reporting, ensuring cost information is robust, traceable, and aligned with the latest accepted programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the PMB / BAC, aligned to the CL32 Programme
  • Assisting with cost forecasting, EAC management, and Bottom‑Up Forecasting to integrate within the CL32 programme
  • Maintaining alignment between WBS, CBS, PMB
  • Contributing to monthly cost and performance reporting, including variance analysis
  • Working closely with Planning, Commercial, and Project Controls teams to maintain an integrated cost and schedule position

About you:

  • Experience in cost planning, cost control, or project controls within construction or infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts (Option C desirable)
  • Understanding of CL32 programmes, PMB, and earned value principles
  • Confident using Primavera P6, cost systems, and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
