We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Weekend Housekeeper to join our friendly team at our 23-bedded residential care home. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning residents’ rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and corridors
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
- Safely using cleaning equipment and products in line with health and safety guidelines
- Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to senior staff
- Working respectfully around residents, maintaining dignity and privacy at all times
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (care home experience an advantage but not essential)
- A caring, respectful, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good attention to detail
- Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards
- Must be reliable and punctual
