Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Commercial Lead – Uro‑Oncology to own the commercial performance of an established portfolio and lead the launch of its first intravesical gene therapy in the UK private market.

Commercial Leadership – Established Products (20%)

  • Drive commercial performance of the established portfolio through pricing optimisation, channel strategy and customer segmentation, without a traditional sales‑force model.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing to ensure channel execution aligns with commercial objectives.
  • Develop and manage annual brand plans, operational plans, and budget cycles for the portfolio.
  • Track and report portfolio performance against KPIs to the Business Unit Director and senior leadership.

Private Market Launch – Novel Intravesical Gene Therapy (70%)

  • Lead the commercial and market‑access strategy for the 2027 UK private‑market launch.
  • Develop and maintain private insurer engagement materials, including budget impact models, clinical dossiers and prior‑authorisation packs.
  • Build and manage the relationship between field execution (National KAM) and the broader access strategy.
  • Support insurer negotiations and clinical advisory board engagement with Medical Affairs.
  • Track private‑market access metrics, insurer coverage status and patient funding approvals.
  • Create and maintain market‑access materials for both the established portfolio and launch product.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Medical Affairs, Regulatory and Global teams to ensure materials are compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Support the development of SMC PACE dossier scoping in collaboration with external health‑economics partners.

Strategic Projects – GM UKIE (10%)

  • Act as a trusted commercial lead on selected enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives directed by the GM UKIE.
  • Lead business‑development evaluations, commercial due diligence, organisation‑design projects or cross‑BU strategic‑planning exercises.
  • Represent the Uro‑Oncology BU perspective in company‑wide forums and leadership discussions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in specialty pharmaceutical commercial roles (brand management, portfolio management or market access), ideally within oncology or urology.
  • Demonstrable P&L management experience with responsibility for revenue and investment decisions.
  • Strong understanding of UK market access—NHS, private market, PMI reimbursement dynamics and insurer engagement.
  • Experience developing market‑access materials, value dossiers or payer‑facing content.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, hands‑on environment without a large supporting infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and financial literacy—ability to build and interrogate commercial models.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, credible with senior internal and external audiences.
  • Degree‑educated; life sciences or business discipline preferred.

A plus if you also have

  • Experience in a non‑sales‑force‑promoted commercial model (digital, pricing, tender or account‑led).
  • Exposure to private‑market oncology or urology—insurer engagement, PMI reimbursement or private hospital networks.
  • Experience managing or influencing field‑based teams.
  • Familiarity with ATMPs, gene therapies or specialty launch products.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
