Overview of the Purchase Ledger Clerk role at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, located at Ferring Controlled Therapeutics Ltd, East Kilbride, Glasgow. Fixed term of 12 months. Part of the Finance Team, accountable to the Reporting and Controlling Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the outsourced payables provider and support ongoing relationship.
- Overseeing outsourced accounts payable and expense activities to ensure accurate processing in a timely manner.
- Establishing and managing PO’s in a timely and efficient manner.
- Drive best practice and advise colleagues on operational Requisition-to-Pay procurement processes.
- Ensure proactive follow-up of key internal stakeholders and establish professional and positive relationships with suppliers.
- Statement reconciliation.
- Overseeing twice monthly payment runs.
- Ensure the timely processing of Month End Activities.
- Ad hoc finance duties as required.
Required experience and competences:
- Previous experience in operational procurement and purchase ledger.
- Background within an SAP environment would be advantageous.
- Proficiency to multi-task.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Team player, willing to learn.
- Process driven; experience within a GMP background would be useful.
- Highly motivated and organised.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Initiative, follow up and task completion.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presenting skills in English.
- Collaborative and enthusiastic personality with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
