Based in our offices in Lisbon, Portugal or London, UK, we are looking for a Senior Manager Customer Insights & Analytics. You will be part of the Global Reproductive Medicine (RM) Franchise within Ferring Operations. The position is responsible for driving critical insights for the RM globally, leading primary and secondary market research and delivering competitive intelligence and analysis to shape the global strategies and ensure strong competitive execution. This role is a core member of and interacts daily with the RM Franchise team to understand product strategy and objectives for both the in-line brands and also pipeline and business development. They also partner with other global functions including Data Management and Analytics, Medical and Market Access as well as markets to gain insights and understanding of market activity and trends, customer engagement, and marketing tactic impact.
Your day at Ferring
- Leads and manages primary (qualitative and quantitative) research projects to efficiently deliver creative, customer and market-based input on strategic and tactical business issues, including evaluating, selecting and managing vendors as well as the internal processes to deliver the project.
- Does bespoke analyses of available data to support generation of insights into for example source of business, key opportunities/risks and drivers of market evolution as well as pipeline and business development opportunities.
- Leverages expertise in data analytics, therapeutic area, and deep knowledge of customer and market intelligence to contribute to insight generation. Actively participates in brand team meetings and is seen as a trusted partner that helps shape the strategy and impact decision making.
- Synthesizes data from multiple sources and develops realistic, insightful and actionable recommendations for the business stakeholders, and presents the data/recommendations in a coherent, meaningful way. Identify information gaps and lead market research to close them and/or suggest implications and next steps.
- Prepare presentations, deliver research findings, derive actionable insights and make strategic recommendations that maximize the long-term value of the brand. Within this context is the lead for the annual Global Brand Fact Book which underpins the Integrated Brand Plan by bringing together all the key brand and market insights in one coherent document.
- Identify, partner with and manage 3rd party CI providers to deliver competitive intelligence supporting global marketing as well as pipeline and portfolio management.
- Works closely with the internal cross-functional teams (RM Franchise, Operational Excellence, Medical, and Market Access as well as regions and key markets) and represents the RM Customer Insights & Market Research function on key internal business teams and work streams.
- Build and maintain internal network of peers/stakeholders to achieve companywide view of competition, trends and market sizing etc.
- Effectively prioritizes assignments in line with business priorities.

- Minimum of a Bachelor of Marketing, Business, Market Research, other Scientific degrees or equivalent; Advanced degree (MBA etc.) is a plus.
- At least 6-10 years’ experience in market research / business analytics / CI / forecasting / decision analysis.
- Experience working at global / international / regional level, in pharmaceutical industry and/ or consultancy. Therapeutic category knowledge a plus.
- Strong knowledge of market research, competitive intelligence, business analysis.
- Experience in the key functional areas of market research, including design and analysis of primary market research and secondary data analysis, required.
- Demonstrated experience with Research Vendor selection and management for primary, secondary, Qualitative, Quantitative and sales and performance data required.
- Strong analytical & project management skills, as well as strategic marketing. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems/data gathered from a variety of sources and use the data to develop key recommendations.
- Strong inter-personal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate and present insights based on data analytics. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple projects simultaneously and work independently to deliver timely and accurate information and analyses.
- Intellectually curious with a growth mindset.
- Fluent in English. Strong, concise and impactful written and verbal communication skills. Preferably a sound knowledge of another language.
