Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking for electricians to join our team. The role will involve installation of field equipment and cabling, glanding and terminating of newly installed cables as detailed within design drawings, testing of cables once installed prior to energisation. The successful applicant will join a small team of like-minded motivated electricians, mechanical fitters and commissioning personnel in delivering both new and upgrade projects to a high standard and should have good team ethics and flexibility to assist others when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report directly to the electrical supervisor and project engineer
- Work on projects for Scottish Water
- Complete survey work and build reports to the project engineer
- Time to be split between site and our fit-out facility in East Kilbride
- Have experience working with schematics, cable blocks and specifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have 18th edition and have a good understanding of BS7671
- 2 years’ experience in the water industry or industrial engineering desirable but not essential
- Understanding of RAMS, and relevant electrical documentation
- COMPEX 1-4 or 9-10 (water industry), but not essential
- Confined Space – medium risk, but not essential
- Electrical HNC desirable, but not essential
- Inspection and testing 2391- desirable but not essential
- Water experience is highly advantageous
- Honest and reliable

- Good time management
- Good communication skills in both verbal and written communication with an ability to follow, interpret and explain technical instructions
- Confident using various Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel, Outlook
- Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work with, lead and motivate others, and be able to bring projects to successful completion
- Driven, with an ability to work individually and with teams under your direction
- Ability to work on own initiative, provide quality and efficiency
- Innovative thinking, with an ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
