You\’ll shape how the brand enters the market, creating shopper-led strategies and driving impactful retailer execution – ensuring our launch resonates with both retailers and consumers.
Main Responsibilities:
As the Shopper & Category Manager , you will lead the strategic development of category plans across three distinct categories, taking ownership of range, space, pricing, promotional planning, and activation. Using shopper insights, market data, and retailer trends, you will create compelling category stories that drive engagement and growth. You will collaborate closely with our commercial and brand teams to bring these plans to life, ensuring the trade is excited and fully supported throughout the launch.
On the activation side, you will manage the end-to-end campaign strategy across all Top 4 UK grocery retailers. This will involve developing and delivering impactful in-store and online executions, overseeing retailer media plans, POS development, and pre-merchandised display creation in partnership with the local co-pack team. Tracking campaign performance will be a key focus, using ROI metrics and shopper behaviour analytics to continuously optimise activity. A strong emphasis will also be placed on ensuring legal and CSR compliance at every stage of execution.
Cross-functional collaboration is central to this role, requiring you to work closely with UK and global brand teams, sales, insights, legal, CSR, and supply chain. You will champion agile ways of working and ensure the timely delivery of all launch milestones, from media planning through to flawless in-store execution. Success will be measured against key KPIs including distribution, shelf space, rate of sale, activation ROI, execution compliance, and the seamless delivery of all launch phases.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone with proven experience in FMCG category management and shopper activation, ideally across multiple categories. You will bring a strong understanding of the UK grocery retail landscape and be confident navigating retailer-specific strategies and expectations. Experience of successfully launching new brands or products to market is highly desirable, as this role will require you to bring fresh thinking and practical solutions to a high-profile launch.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally in a complex environment. A data-driven mindset is essential, with experience in using platforms such as Nielsen, IRI, or Kantar, along with space planning software. You will be naturally curious, commercially focused, and passionate about creating strategies that excite retailers and shoppers alike.
