About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded National Account Executive to support our National Account Managers and Key Account Managers across major grocery customers. In this role, you will help manage customer relationships, collaborate with central teams, and contribute to the development and execution of impactful sales plans. You will support contract processes, assist with negotiations and sign-offs, and help drive commercial initiatives that strengthen category performance and deliver business growth. We currently have two roles available within our Sainsbury's and Morrisons customer teams, offering the opportunity to work closely with two of our key grocery partners.

Main Responsibilities: You will support the proposal, alignment, and tracking of sales volume budgets and help manage trade and promotional budgets, ensuring effective spend control and adherence to guidelines. Monitoring customer performance will be an important part of the role, as you identify risks, opportunities, and any required corrective actions. You will assist in the execution of Trade Marketing plans, including pricing, promotions, and display activity, while analysing category performance across your channels to highlight gaps, trends, and growth opportunities. This will include recommending improvements such as pricing adjustments, promotional changes, or enhancements to stock and service levels.

You will help define and support sales targets, margin delivery, promotional calendars, and pricing strategies for your customers. Working closely with the wider team, you will contribute to customer projects, joint business plans, and partnership initiatives that strengthen commercial outcomes. You will also support contract preparation and closure, including involvement in key negotiations and conflict-resolution scenarios.

The role involves providing regular updates on sales performance, opportunities, and forward plans, and working closely with stakeholders across channels, customers, and markets to gather insights and support strategic decision-making. You will prepare weekly field briefs and ensure that all relevant commercial and marketing information is communicated consistently to field teams. In addition, you will maintain accurate customer and product master data within internal systems and support pricing updates, structural changes, and product information accuracy to ensure smooth operational delivery for all commercial teams.

About You: We are seeking someone with strong commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate, influence, and build trusted relationships at all levels. You will need excellent numerical and verbal reasoning skills, along with the confidence to make data-driven recommendations. Strong stakeholder-management capability, a collaborative working style, and clear, credible communication are essential.

You should be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other business platforms, with familiarity in social media tools considered an advantage. Experience within FMCG, cultural awareness, and an interest in international environments are also beneficial. If you are commercially curious, highly organised, and eager to grow your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
