About the Role: We are seeking a Compliance Counsel to join our team at the Greenford offices. The role involves providing legal support to our UK & Ireland operations, working closely with stakeholders across functions. Responsibilities include advising on compliance issues such as intellectual property, contracts, marketing, and advertising. You will report to the General Counsel and collaborate with the Group Compliance Counsel and the Global Compliance Team. The role also includes managerial duties, overseeing the Legal Executive. Main Responsibilities: Manage legal risks and compliance within the UK & Ireland, including creating and delivering training on topics like Anti-trust, Anti-Bribery, Modern Slavery, Data Protection, and Group policies. Maintain the Legal Compliance Platform and tools for the region. Provide legal advice and review contracts related to distribution, supply, IT, procurement, and operations, especially for the Cork manufacturing site in Ireland. Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, supporting the development of Group templates and standards. Manage external counsel and third-party engagements, ensuring value for money. Who we are looking for: Significant in-house experience, preferably in FMCG or retail, with a focus on compliance and contracts. At least 3+ years PQE. Proven management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Experience in compliance training and fostering a proactive compliance culture. Ability to work independently, proactively, and adaptively. Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills. Ability to build relationships across functions and lead initiatives effectively. Comfortable handling complex legal concepts and working under pressure.
