Ferrero is looking for a Business Unit Controller - Discounters to help drive the growth and performance of our brands across key discount retail customers within the UK&I market. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven and relationship-focused Sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and enjoys building strategic customer partnerships. Acting as a key interface between Ferrero and our customers, you will support the delivery of commercial strategy, customer growth plans and promotional activities while helping to strengthen Ferrero's position within the discounter channel.
Working closely with Trade Marketing, Finance, Marketing and Category teams, you will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, supporting commercial negotiations and delivering customer plans that balance commercial ambition with profitable and sustainable growth. Alongside this, you will help foster a collaborative and high-performing culture, supporting the development, engagement and leadership of both direct and cross-functional teams across the business.
Main Responsibilities:You will support the development and delivery of customer and channel growth strategies across the discounter channel, helping to identify commercial opportunities, category priorities and initiatives that drive sustainable business growth. Working closely with internal stakeholders and customers, you will contribute to the development of customer plans aligned to Ferrero's wider commercial objectives and promotional strategy.
The role will manage key customer relationships and support commercial negotiations, ensuring effective execution of promotional plans, pricing activity and agreed commercial conditions. You will monitor sales performance, customer trends and market activity, using data and insight to identify risks, opportunities and areas for continuous improvement across customer performance.
Alongside commercial delivery, you will work cross-functionally with Trade Marketing, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service and wider Sales teams to support forecasting, budget management and customer development activities. You will also play an active role in coaching, motivating and supporting team development, helping to build a collaborative environment focused on performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
About You:You will bring experience within Sales, Account Management or Commercial roles, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG or retail environment. You will be commercially minded, customer-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities while building strong relationships across both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong communication, influencing and analytical skills are essential, alongside the ability to interpret performance data and translate insight into clear commercial actions. You will demonstrate resilience, adaptability and a proactive approach to problem solving within a dynamic commercial environment.
You will also bring strong leadership capability, with experience supporting, coaching or developing others within a team environment. A collaborative mindset, ability to influence cross-functionally and passion for driving both people and business performance will be key to success in this role.
Experience supporting customer negotiations, promotional planning and commercial forecasting would be highly advantageous, alongside a passion for driving category and brand growth within the retail market.
