We have a current opening for a Regional Sales Manager, West - UNFI and are actively reviewing applications. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will take the lead in developing, executing, and driving a financial and retail sales plan for UNFI Conventional & downstream retailers, Hawaii, and Grocery Outlet—helping deliver sales and profit growth across existing and new Ferrero products.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for Account Buyers, managing strong customer relationships and partnering closely with brokers to execute commercial strategies. You will report to the Grocery West Sales Director and play a key role in shaping regional performance through a data-driven, proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach. This role is field-based and requires up to 50-60% travel, with candidates ideally based in Chicago, Dallas or California for proximity to customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required; MBA is a plus
- At least 5 years of Sales, Account Management, Merchandising and/or Category/Trade Management experience is required
- Prior experience calling on these customers is preferred
- Proven collaborative and solution-oriented track record
- Experience in broker management
- Effective interpersonal skills to interface with the necessary internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic planning and expertise in executing annual business plan
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Powerful storytelling competencies to present key insights externally and internally
- Strong data analysis skills (IRI, Supply Chain) to monitor, report and proactively address customer performance and trends in category and develop strategies to close gaps, increase sales, etc.
- Strategic and proactive thinking to develop sales strategies and translate them into distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising objectives
- Enterprise mindset and desire to build a successful career with a growing global company
- Strong business development skills to identify and enable opportunities and growth
- Ability to travel 50% - 60%
The base salary range for this position is $98,000.00 - $123,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
