About the Role:
At Ferrero, we’re passionate about our brands, our people and the partnerships we build. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and commercially curious National Account Executive to support our National Account Manager in managing the Tesco account. This is a great opportunity for someone at an early stage in their commercial career who wants to learn how a major FMCG customer operates. You’ll support customer relationships, assist with negotiations and contract processes, and help deliver customer plans that bring Ferrero’s brands to life in store and online.
Main Responsibilities:
- You’ll support the planning and tracking of sales volumes and budgets for the Tesco account, working closely with the National Account Manager to monitor forecasts, costs and performance in line with agreed targets and spending guidelines.
- You’ll help support customer activity in line with Trade Marketing plans, including pricing, promotions and in-store execution. This includes helping to identify performance gaps, understanding what’s driving results, and supporting the implementation of practical solutions.
- You’ll assist with building customer plans that cover sales targets, promotions, timings and events, and help bring joint initiatives with Tesco to life.
- You’ll support the National Account Manager in preparing for customer meetings, negotiations and contract processes, and may attend meetings to support note-taking, follow-up actions and relationship building.
- You’ll help maintain strong working relationships by providing clear updates on sales activity and supporting regular contact with Tesco to build knowledge of the customer and the wider grocery market.
- You’ll support the maintenance of accurate customer master data within Ferrero’s systems, helping to update customer structures, check for data anomalies and support re-invoicing processes where required.
- You’ll also help gather and share price and market information, supporting weekly updates from the sales team and sharing insights with Sales and Marketing colleagues.
- Finally, you’ll support sales planning and development by helping identify opportunities for growth within Tesco, such as new distribution, range changes or listings, while developing your own commercial skills along the way.
About You:
- You’ll enjoy working with numbers, people and ideas. You’re confident communicating with others and comfortable working with data to support decision-making.
- You bring a positive, collaborative approach and understand the importance of building strong relationships internally and externally.
- You’re confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and open to learning new systems and tools.
- Previous experience in retail, FMCG, sales support, or a commercial environment is helpful, but not essential.
