We’re looking for a Process Operator – Supply Chain (FLT) to join our team at our Alfreton site, playing an important role in keeping our supply chain operation moving safely, efficiently and accurately. Working as part of our busy warehouse and supply chain team, you’ll support the movement, storage and handling of products and materials across the site. Using your FLT skills, you’ll help ensure stock is in the right place at the right time while maintaining the high standards of safety, quality and accuracy expected across our operation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock and materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate FLT equipment.
- Support day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring products are handled, stored and moved correctly.
- Follow agreed processes for stock movements, storage and inventory control, completing necessary checks and records to maintain accurate stock levels and minimise discrepancies.
- Operate equipment responsibly, follow site procedures and maintain high standards of housekeeping within your working area.
- Identify and raise potential safety, quality or operational issues and take appropriate action within your area of responsibility.
- Work closely with colleagues across Supply Chain and other operational teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials and products across the site.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the operation, supporting opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and the way we work.
About You:
- Ideally have previous experience working within a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, manufacturing or similarly fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience operating a forklift truck is important for this position.
- Understand the importance of following safe working practices and maintaining accuracy when handling products and materials.
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working to operational priorities while maintaining high standards.
- Bring a practical approach to problem solving, communicate well with others and be willing to support colleagues wherever needed.
- Take pride in working safely and accurately and enjoy being part of a team that keeps a fast-moving supply chain operation running smoothly.
