About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Finance Director to join our senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take full ownership of XYZ Inc's financial strategy, planning, and control environment. This is a pivotal role at a critical stage of our growth, as we invest in manufacturing capacity, pursue European expansion, and navigate an increasingly complex commodity and cost environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the full finance function across financial reporting, management accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and audit
- Partner with the CEO and Board to shape business strategy, capital allocation, and M&A activity
- Own the annual budgeting and long-range planning process across all business units
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to the Board, investors, and lenders
- Drive working capital optimisation and cash flow management across the supply chain
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and institutional investors
- Lead, develop, and mentor a finance team of 35 across two sites
- Ensure robust financial controls and full regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions
About You:
- Essential Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience
- Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role within FMCG, manufacturing, or consumer goods
- Demonstrable track record of partnering at Board level and influencing strategic decisions
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&Ls of £200m+
- Experience of managing finance functions across multiple sites or geographies
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Desirable:
- Experience of ERP implementation or transformation programmes
- Exposure to private equity or listed company environments
- European market experience
