About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and commercially sharp Finance Business Partner to join our Group Finance team, based at our Leeds commercial hub. This is a senior individual contributor role sitting just below Board level, working directly with divisional leadership teams across our UK business units. You will translate complex financial data into clear commercial insight, challenge performance, and drive better decision-making across the organisation. This role would suit an experienced Finance Director or senior Financial Controller who is looking for a high-impact commercial finance role without the full breadth of a group FD remit.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary finance business partner to two of XYZ Inc's UK business units, with combined revenues of approximately £150m
- Deliver monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and forward-looking commentary to divisional MDs and the Group CFO
- Own the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process for your business units
- Build robust financial models to support investment appraisal, pricing decisions, and commercial negotiations
- Identify and track delivery of cost and margin improvement initiatives
- Support the Group CFO on strategic finance projects including potential acquisitions and new market entry
- Manage and develop one Finance Analyst reporting into this role
- Ensure compliance with group financial controls and accounting policies
About You: Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant — ACA or ACCA qualification is essential; CIMA also considered
- Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience in a finance role of increasing seniority
- Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Experience operating in a consumer goods, professional services, or similarly complex commercial environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage and present financial information at senior leadership level
- Strong financial modelling skills and advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience managing or mentoring finance staff
