As a Community Capacity Builder, you\’ll lead and deliver regionally focused initiatives that create more inclusive, accessible and empowered communities for people with a disability. You\’ll work closely with individuals, families, carers and community organisations to co-design and implement projects that reduce barriers, promote inclusion and build long term community capability. This role has a strong regional focus, ensuring that everything you do is grounded in local needs and delivers a measurable, lasting impact.

What you\’ll do:
* Design and deliver community capacity building initiatives aligned with the NDIA\’s ILC Policy Framework and the Partners in the Community Deed.
* Build strong partnerships with local organisations, government agencies and diverse community groups.
* Facilitate community mapping to identify where there are service gaps and opportunities.
* Co-design initiatives with individuals with disability and their families.
* Engage with priority groups such as First Nations, CALD, LGBTIQA+SB and rural/remote communities.
* Develop project plans with measurable outcomes.
* Monitor and report on the impact of initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with Feros Care and NDIA systems and frameworks.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and regional service planning.
* Support the Local Area Coordinator (LAC) teams to embed community capacity building throughout their work.

What you\’ll bring:
* Demonstrated experience in community development and/or capacity building with measurable outcomes.
* A strong knowledge of the NDIS, disability sector, ILC Policy Framework and PitC program.
* Proven ability to build genuine partnerships and co-design with individuals with a disability.
* Experience in project planning, performance measurement and community engagement.
* Excellent communication and engagement skills.
* A high level of organisational and self management skills.
* Ability to work independently in a community based settings.
* Strong commitment to inclusion, diversity and accessibility.
* Experience managing community events.

Qualifications & Checks:
* Tertiary qualification in community development, social work, or related field (desirable).
* Current driver\’s license and reliable transport to travel locally.
* NDIS Workers Screening Check & Working with Children\’s Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Undergo a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
* Valid Australian Working Rights.
* Lived experience of disability is highly valued.
