Purpose of the Role: To ensure the efficiency of plant and machinery is maximised through the organisation of the engineering stores. The procurement and purchasing of goods as selected and requested by the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
- To organise and manage stock levels to maintain availability required.
- Weekly self-audit of stores areas agreed with Engineering Planning Supervisor.
- To place engineering orders and manage system through to receipting of work on ordering system.
- Manage weekly budget reports on departmental KPIs.
- Placing orders for non-stock items.
- Running of stock reports and re-order management.
- To ensure Company standards are maintained through laid down procedures and specifications.
- To work safely in accordance with site and departmental procedures, observing the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Food Safety Act 1990.
- To maintain Good Manufacturing Practice.
