Based in the Wilmslow area, this position offers a salary of £50,000-£60,000 plus car/car allowance and benefits. A leading Building Services Consultancy specialising in commercial contracts in the North-West is actively growing their middle management team due to internal promotion and currently requires a Mechanical Contract Manager to help run existing contracts while quoting for new business opportunities.
The Mechanical Contract Manager will receive specific training on internal systems but is expected to be at this level currently and be used to working on projects up to £150,000 in value, running contracts on a day-to-day basis.
To apply for the Mechanical Contract Manager position, the following experience is required:
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager or Mechanical Contract Manager
- Ideally have previous ‘on the tools’ experience
- Hold people management experience of on-site staff
- Full Driving license and DBS checked
Duties for the Mechanical Contract Manager will include:
- Carrying out site assessments for new work including material estimating and compiling detailed proposals with the assistance of the office team.
- Managing a small on-site mechanical team including running site meetings with the client.
- Holding up to date knowledge of health and safety standards and industry regulations.
- Attending weekly management meetings including forecasting for future works.
- Undertaking site assessments to ensure the safety of the team is at the forefront of any project requirement.
- Working closely with the electrical division on any dual sector projects.
