A UK based Water Compliance Consultancy providing water hygiene, risk assessing, plumbing and water treatment services is actively looking for a Water Hygiene Engineer to join an existing team and cover commercial sites in the North-West. Sites will include Hotels, Food Chains, Offices and Schools.
The Water Hygiene Engineer will have a range of duties including:
- Sampling
- Monitoring
- Descales (shower and taps)
- Associated water maintenance
- Water Tank Inspections and Cleans (including disinfections and mains injections)
- Basic remedial work
- Maintaining site logbooks
- Liaising with different services whilst on site ensuring ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidelines
Knowledge of water treatment and cooling towers would be beneficial with new contracts starting, but specific training is provided to all staff to maximise their technical expertise.
To apply for the Water Hygiene Engineer position, the following experience is required:
- 3+ years working as a Water Hygiene Engineer or Water Hygiene Technician
- Full driving license
- DBS Checked (Enhanced preferred)
- Experience in Sampling, Monitoring, Descales, Tank Disinfections and Mains Injections
- Experience in cooling towers and closed systems of particular interest
- Any industry qualifications in remedial or legionella control would be advantageous
