Environmental Consultancy who provides services including Fire Risk, Safety Compliance and Water Hygiene are currently looking for a Trainee Risk Assessor with a background in water hygiene ideally in the Berkshire / West London region. This is an excellent opportunity for a Water Hygiene Technician/Water Hygiene Engineer who is keen to progress their career by moving into risk assessment. You will use your existing water hygiene knowledge and experience while receiving full training to become a competent Risk Assessor.

The role involves working on new and existing contracts across schools, healthcare, retail, offices, and hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine water hygiene tasks, maintaining the high standards of the business on all project sites.
  • Begin training in Legionella and Water Risk Assessments, gradually taking on risk assessment responsibilities.
  • Training to include:
  • WH005. Disinfection of Hot & Cold-Water Systems within Buildings.
  • W015 - Basic Legionella Risk Assessment of Water Systems (Water Management Society)
  • ESS Safety Survey test and Management
  • Legionella Awareness Course.
  • Work collaboratively within a team and independently across multiple site locations.
  • Requirements for the Trainee Risk Assessor:

    • Previous experience in water hygiene is essential.
    • Have carried out temperature monitoring/testing of tap outlets and tanks, Cleaning, Descaling and Disinfection, visual inspection of water systems, TMV Servicing.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Full UK driving licence.
