A well-established building services and FM provider with contracts across the UK is currently looking to recruit a qualified Approved Electrician to support commercial contracts throughout Berkshire, Hampshire, Middlesex.
The successful Approved Electrician will be responsible for both scheduled and reactive electrical works, carrying out testing, remedial repairs, and minor installation projects across a varied client portfolio. The Approved Electrician role will require someone capable of working independently, communicating effectively with clients on site, and identifying additional remedial requirements where necessary. Flexibility is important as occasional out-of-hours access will be required for site requirements.
Key Responsibilities for the Approved Electrician position:
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults
- Conducting EICRs and inspection/testing works
- Testing circuits, distribution equipment, and associated systems
- Completing minor installation and remedial works
- Providing technical updates to site contact and complete logbooks
Requirements for the Approved Electrician position:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395, or equivalent inspection/testing qualification
- Previous experience with commercial EICRs and electrical testing
- DBS clearance desirable
- Full UK driving licence
